Kachins Kachin people toils in wet seasons,
Farming in a very far distance in hilly regions;
Celebrations in dry and cold seasons and finished all rewards.

Then living at least 185 days in reduced circumstances - no food, nothing at all! This seems like a joke but just a fact. So Kachins should minimize organizing celebrations in romantic seasons.

Spending in such celebrations and Festivals may not be less than US $ 1 million! In 2010 alone will have three major Manau Festivals: one in Kasung to mark 50th anniversary of Kachin Revolution Day as well as 16 years long cease-fire agreement with the State Peace and Development Council (SPDC, military government of Myanmar), projection on 24th February – such long peaceful period that Kachin never been experienced in their history since Myanmar’s Independence. Second one projection from 08 to 10 January 4, 2010 to mark 63rd Anniversary of Kachin State Day and last one in 1st Brigade Area of triangle land of Mali and Nmai Rivers, Kachin State.

These three great-grand Manau Festivals will not only cost millions of Dollars but also will make people rushed! If we keep spending and wasting our times in such days, what will be the next for our offspring?
